The fine print

Privacy

How we handle personal information on this website.

Draft, October 2026. To be checked before launch.

This statement covers weft.events, weft’s own website. How weft handles the information organisers keep in weft about their events and delegates is set out in weft’s customer terms and privacy policy, which every customer receives.

What we collect

  • When you book a demo or get in touch: your name, email address, organisation, the size of your event and anything you write to us.
  • When you visit: the technical details any website receives, such as your IP address and browser, which our hosting provider, Cloudflare, uses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

Only to reply to you and arrange a demo, and to keep the website running and secure. We don’t sell it, and we don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

Who else sees it

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers our email.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form was filled in by a person, not a program.
  • Google Fonts provides the typefaces this site uses, so your browser asks Google for them.

Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand. We stay responsible for it, as the Privacy Act requires.

How long we keep it

Demo requests are kept for two years from our last contact, then deleted, unless you become a customer.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email privacy@weft.events. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
