The fine print
Accessibility
Everyone should be able to use this website, and the event websites and apps weft makes.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which goes beyond the New Zealand Government Web Accessibility Standard (WCAG 2.1 AA). That means, among other things:
- text with enough contrast to read comfortably;
- everything can be reached and used with a keyboard;
- pages work with screen readers and with text made larger;
- motion stays still for people who ask their device for less motion;
- te reo Māori is marked as te reo, so screen readers say it properly.
Event websites and apps made with weft follow the same standard, and weft warns organisers when the colours they choose would be hard to read.
